I’m thankful…

(I shouldn’t be allowed to play in Photoshop.)

While I’ve been taking on NaBloPoMo to write a new blog post every single day this month (which is so much more work than my 24-hour day really allows, but I’ve managed to squeeze them in), I know many people who are doing 30 days of thankfulness instead.

On this 22nd day of November, I present 22 I’m-thankful’s, the yoga edition.

  1. I’m thankful for my husband, who watches our kid on Saturday mornings so I can go to yoga class.
  2. I’m thankful for my yoga teacher Matt, who lets me bring my kid to class if I choose to do so.
  3. I’m thankful to be in a financial position where I can afford to practice in a studio.
  4. I’m thankful to always have ashtanga for my home practice.
  5. I’m thankful for my fellow yogi friends who have “yoga dates” with me when we can sync up our schedules.
  6. I’m thankful for the vibrant Austin yoga community.
  7. I’m thankful for other yoga bloggers who feed my need for more yoga talk.
  8. I’m thankful for my readers who give me motivation to keep writing.
  9. I’m thankful for readers WHO COMMENT. So many warm fuzzies.
  10. I’m thankful to be in good health so I can move and breathe without problems.
  11. I’m thankful for yoga’s conditioning my body to power through pregnancy, labor, delivery, recovery, thyroid freakout and sleep deprivation.
  12. I’m thankful for ujjayi breathing. It’s gotten me through times of panic and anxiety.
  13. I’m thankful for stretchy yoga pants as weekend wear.
  14. I’m thankful for the opportunity to attend workshops with master teachers who come through Austin.
  15. I’m thankful for cobbler pose. I love you, baddha konasana.
  16. I’m thankful for my Lulu The Mat and all its sweat absorbency.
  17. I’m thankful for tea tree oil.
  18. I’m thankful for yogi tea. I’ll post the recipe soon.
  19. I’m thankful for the challenges of headstands, handstands, forearm stands and other inversions and arm balances.
  20. I’m thankful for quiet meditation.
  21. I’m thankful for my knees. May they never give out on me!
  22. And I’m thankful for savasana. Glorious, glorious savasana.
