No, that’s a big fat lie. I can’t blame my lack of yoga on #NaBloPoMo. I’m going to blame the usual suspects of not getting enough sleep, don’t have time between working and parenting, no space in the house and the fact that I wear all my yoga clothes as lounge wear so it always ends up in the dirty laundry pile.
I’ve totally become that wife and mom who comes home from work and immediately changes out of day clothes into comfy yoga clothes with the intention of NOT doing anything that requires physical exertion. What? No one else is willing to admit that?
This is Day 26 (TWENTY-SIX!!!) of writing a new blog post every single day. I have four days left of NaBloPoMo, and I’m so ready for it to be done. I can’t keep up the blog posting at this rate. While I looked at my calendar to find time to DO the yoga, I realized that if I spent the time on my mat that I’ve been spending at the computer writing and editing photos, I could totally have a meaningful, deep daily practice. I mean, I’m already WEARING yoga clothes every evening for comfort. I really should put them to their proper use.
I will say that the nice thing about NaBloPoMo is I’m getting into a rhythm of doing something consistently every day. If I can translate that back into a yoga practice, maybe this whole endeavor will be a great win.
What does this mean for my blogging? Well, I’ll go back to more of a 2-3 times a week posting schedule starting in December, which is much more manageable. I still have 21 unfinished drafts sitting in a folder, so I have more topics I want to cover. One of my blogging goals is to create original images (including photos of yoga poses), so I feel like I can give 2-3 blog posts a week more love than cobbling something together with found Google images.
Thanks to my readers for hanging in there with me all this month! Let’s keep up the momentum, shall we?
