#doingtheyoga Round-up: Week 1

I leave for the Ashtanga Yoga Confluence in San Diego on February 28, so to get my body well conditioned for that big weekend, I’ve been making a much more specific effort to get on my mat and DO the yoga since the start of December. Here’s how I fared in Week 1:

Dec. 1: starting december off right!!! Inside The Mat Yoga Studio – Richardson, TX @TheMatYoga#doingtheyoga

Dec. 3: 3 surya A, 3 B, pigeon, spinal twists, cobbler, hero’s pose/meditation, savasana. #doingtheyoga

Dec. 4: Spinal twists, back stretches, forward folds, headstand, seated meditation #doingtheyoga

Dec. 5: full ashtanga primary series. may not have done it all in the right order, but at least i got through it!!! #doingtheyoga

Dec. 5: ah ha! checking my primary series cheat sheet, i DID get the order right from marichyasana to closing postures.  #mysoreishard #doingtheyoga

Dec. 6: Meditation by Homer Simpson lights. #doingtheyoga

Dec. 7: Child’s pose, cat/cow, variations on down dog, hip & thigh stretches, played with pincha. #doingtheyoga
