Free Day of Yoga 9.2.13

With Labor Day coming up, studios in Austin, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston and Sacramento are again offering free classes for the masses. This is a great way to try out a new studio, a new teacher or a new style without risk. And hey, if you’re new to yoga, then your first class is free (duh)! Many of the studios offer special discounted class passes on Labor Day too, so if you like what you saw, take advantage of the pricing.

Here’s what’s going on for Free Day of Yoga 2013:

Opening festival on Sunday, 9.1 from 9 am to 12:30 pm, which includes gift bags for the first 100 people, classes of all levels and drawings for prizes.

Dallas Kick-off festivities on Saturday 8.31 from 10 am to 3 pm, which includes a healing tent, mini classes, guided meditation and a grand prize drawing.
One Arts Plaza: 1722 Routh St., Dallas, TX 75201

Ft. Worth Kick-off festivities on Sunday 9.1 from 5 pm – 7 pm, which includes a concert and community yoga class.
Burnett Park: Between 7th and 10th St. and Lamar, Ft. Worth, TX 76102

Kick-off Party on Sunday 9.1 from 5 pm – 7:30 pm, which includes free food & wine, mingling, putting together gift bags for Monday’s celebration and a free shirt.

Labor Day Celebration on Monday 9.2 from 9 am – 11:30 pm, which includes music, yoga, meditation and family-friendly events.

This is the second year Sacramento’s studios are participating in free day of yoga, which is exciting to see that it’s growing there!

  1. I know! I was pysched when I got my Uptown Yoga email that all of Monday’s classes would be free. I guess I forgot that from last year. It is an amazing opportunity to bring a friend with you to your everyday class!
