I’ve had a lot of people ask me in the last month or so whether I was still doing yoga. The whole working full time + 2 kids thing means for the most part, my answer is no. With the messy state of our house, there isn’t enough clear space on the floor for me to place my mat. Factoring in Austin’s horrendous traffic and my family duties, there isn’t enough time to practice in the morning before work or in the evenings.
I will sometimes come home and change into yoga clothes with the INTENTION of getting on my mat, but let’s be real here. The only personal time I have at home is the 15 minutes I spend getting cleaned up and ready for bed. I’m usually half asleep on the couch once the kids are asleep.
With all that said, I’m enjoying the Instagram yoga challenges because it does make me do at least 30 seconds of yoga asana daily and keep my muscle memory warm. I’ve been falling behind on September’s challenge and having to get caught up, but here’s October’s with Kino and beachgirlyoga. Join me!
